DALE PRIME AND DAVID ARMSTRONG CROWNED CHAMPIONS!

The conclusion of the 2021/22 league season saw Dale Prime crowned champion by a single point.

The season, which has been extended due to COVID, saw Jamie Parker lead early on, before a mid-season slump tightened things at the top and Joe Foxon took over the lead, where he remained until the final day of the season. The final two games saw Dale Prime, sat third going into them, taking on Joe in both, knowing that two wins would see him take Joe’s lead. A pair of 3-2 victories saw him snatch the title by a single point from second-place Joe, while Jamie had to settle for third. Matt Thomas rounded out the top four, whilst Morgan Buda did enough to stay above Steve Parker, who finished sixth and in the relegation zone.

There was less drama in Division 2, as David Armstrong remained on top for the majority of the season and won the title by 9 points, from a chasing Darron Marriott. David was in the top spot for the whole season, and we look forward to welcoming him into Division One next season. There were a few new faces in Division Two this season, and all players put in a great effort, all putting frames and wins on the board and making it a very tight midfield.

Congratulations to both Dale and David! We look forward to resuming battle next season.
